Blues Clues Cake

This was a Blues Clues cake that I did for my youngest son's 3rd birthay. This was done free hand. It was a lemon pound cake filled with lemon curd and iced in a lemon butter cream.

Mounds cake

I called this a Mounds cake because it tastes like a Mounds chocolate bar. It was my favorite chocolate cake (with chocolate chunks!) covered in coconut italian meringue. This was actually a cake that was for a dinner party with our good friends so I got to enjoy eating my work!

I was so excited to do this cake. I love, love, love when someone gives me creative liscense. The only requirement given by the customer was blue and brown. I had seen a version of this cake done for a baby girl in pink and brown and wanted to make my own!

Snow Man cake

This was a really fun cake made with a Williams Sonoma pan. I wish I was a better photographer and I would have made sure that you could see the "snow" around the bottom of the plate. I guess if I had not put it on a white plate, I would not have needed to be a better photographer! This cake was white spice cake with a cream cheese icing.

Baby Shower Cake

This was a cake that was for a combined baby shower. It is pound cake filled with lemon curd and iced with buttercream.

Star Wars Cakes

These are two Star Wars cakes that I did. The mother who ordered the one in buttercream wanted a simple cake that she could add action figures too. I think that the lady who ordered the chocolate one had the same idea but her son liked it so much that he wouldn't let her add them!

Ka Chow!

This cake was so fun! It is a 1/2 sheet cake with a Lightning McQueen charachter cake on top. It is a pound cake covered in buttercream. The dirt road is crushed graham crackers. I was so excited to make this cake for one of my best friends from high school that I reconnected with over Facebook!
